Visits within the Scope of the Home Patient Care Program Internal and External Stakeholder Collaboration and Accreditation Process

On April 18, 2025, Home Patient Care Program Instructor Nurgül Kaplan, Instructor Abdurrahim Uyanık, and Instructor Ebru Sadıç visited District Health Director Faruk Kalkan in his office to strengthen cooperation in the healthcare field, assess current developments in practice, and strengthen professional partnerships. During the friendly meeting, ideas were exchanged to improve the quality of healthcare services and opportunities for collaboration, particularly around the integration of education and practice, were explored.
Following the visits, a meeting was held with Training Nurse Filiz Ardıç at Tokat Erbaa State Hospital on April 28, 2025. A study visit was also organized to the Home Health Unit, where face-to-face meetings were held with Home Health Services Unit Doctor Dr. Mustafa Fatih Demirkan and Home Care Technician Aslıhan Özdarendeli. Topics such as the structure of home health services, patient monitoring processes, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the effectiveness of student applications were discussed in detail during the meetings.
On the same day, a visit was made to the Erbaa Social Service Center, affiliated with the Tokat Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, and a meeting was held with Psychologist Kübra Nur Ezenci. The meeting focused on social work practices, psychosocial support processes, and interaction with home care services.
On May 5, 2025, as part of external stakeholder discussions, an online meeting was held with Gülçin Camcıoğlu, a lecturer at Hamidiye Health Services Vocational School of Health Sciences University, and faculty members from the Home Patient Care Programs at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University's Pazar Vocational School and Erbaa Health Services Vocational School. The meeting evaluated the national status of home care programs, graduate qualifications, and sectoral expectations, and shared examples of good practices.
These visits and meetings, conducted as part of the accreditation process, aim to enhance the program's educational quality, review graduate qualifications, ensure the alignment of program outcomes with sector expectations, and activate continuous improvement mechanisms. Meetings with internal stakeholders focused on the self-assessment report, quality assurance system, stakeholder feedback, and improvement plans, embracing transparency, accountability, and sustainability as fundamental principles throughout the process.
Additionally, an online meeting was held with the Pazar Vocational School Home Patient Care Program on May 9, 2025. This meeting addressed issues such as increasing collaboration between programs, curriculum alignment, identifying common practice areas, and sharing experiences regarding the accreditation process.
